This design is inspired by the archtype of transformation that butterflies represent. From the slug like creature in the cocoon, the mystical opening of the butterfly's beautiful wings as she is born into the air... Wings that reflect the many colors and patterns of the flowers and plants which attract the fluttering symbol of the dance of life. The word for butterfly is quite unusual, as even closely related languages, have entirely different words for 'butterfly'. It seems that people everywhere all have their special name for the powerful symbol of transformation and change. |
