The Triple Morrigan, or Morgan, also known as Morgan-le-Faye is the Arthurian version of the old Celtic warrior Goddess - the raven is her totemic bird. In common with other irish goddesses including Nemhain, the Badbh and Macha, the Morrigan has the ability to shape-change between human and animal forms. In addition to her war attributes, the Morrigan possesses powerful sexual and fertility symbolism. She is also a prophetess and caster of spells. The Morrigan ruled the Fortunate Isles with her 'nine-sisters' who are said to guard and tend the cauldron of rebirth in the depths of Annwn, cooling it with their breath.
